Beginners Weaving Workshop

February 20, 2016 from 9 a.m. – Noon

Weaving was an important skill in frontier Arkansas, and most settlers had at least one loom in their home. Today most weaving is done by machines, but many people still practice traditional hand weaving. This workshop will teach basic weaving using a piece of cardboard as your loom. Participants will make a bookmark to take home. Space is limited, and early registration is required. Contact the park to register at 870-892-4708. Admission: $13 per person. Davidsonville Historic State Park is located fifteen minutes south of Pocahontas on Highway 166.
